Must've been above average luck, then - 18 on the first run, 10 on the second and got the last 2 I needed from the Foothills.

Just did 7 runs in a row. Now I am farming both the east and west tar pools and sometimes even the 4 hydra on the little knoll down with the abominations. Here are my totals for the 7 runs.

11,5,11,10,11,9,20

If we toss out the high and the low as aberrations we have 11,11,10,11,9 which comes out to 10.4 per run and the median number is 11.

I love dragons gullet.. I remember when the hydras there used to be level 17 and skilled similar to the ones in the desert. Quick a shock for a level 10 Warrior coming across them for the first time

I ran my extra account thru and only netted 3 (2 heroes)...but sos'd it and got 12 on the first run (I needed to carto the area and got one from the hydras by the charr in the temple)...on the 2nd run only got 7....but them is the odds....

I got 10 on a solo run, re-zoned and got the other 5 before halfway. Mapped out and loaded 3 heroes to make the run to Nick easy (I'm lazy) and got 5 more in a party of 4 in foothills!

also confirmed, hes in Egils perch beside eystin, 3 berserker horns per gift.

Confirmed 3 berserker horns per gift. He's at the east end of Egil's Perch in Jaga Moraine. Screenshot coming soon...
Route is crap, but at least it shows where he is

Jaga Moraine near Sifhalla, probably. It is swarming with berserking whatevers. The only annoying thing is that the patrols move fast and intersect.
